We are very pleased to congratulate our newest associate lawyers Benjamin Buckingham and Brayden Volkenant, both formally welcomed to the community of lawyers in British Columbia and officially “called to the Bar” in separate call ceremonies held on Friday September 13, 2019.
The ceremonies were held at the Vancouver Law Courts where Ben and Brayden each confirmed the Barristers and Solicitors Oath before the Benchers of the Law Society, Justices of the Supreme Court and family, friends and De Jager Volkenant colleagues. In separate addresses from Justices of the Courts and the President of the Law Society, candidates were reminded of their duty to serve the community and help preserve the rights and freedoms of all people. Knowing their gifts, hearts for service and character, we have no doubt that both Ben and Brayden will pick up the call and the challenge as they serve our clients and the broader community with skill and integrity.
