We have been classified as an essential business under BC Provincial and health authority Orders.
Most of our lawyers and some staff have been working remotely from home in accordance with the recommendations of the Provincial and Federal Governments and health authorities and the steps taken by many businesses and organizations to slow the spread of COVID-19.
On May 6, 2020, the Provincial Government announced a Go-Forward Strategy to re-open the Province with offices and other specified businesses starting their re-open mid-May. The Strategy was accompanied by Guidance for workplaces generally and specific businesses including offices.
In view of this important step taken by the Government, we have decided to transition back to something that is closer to “normal” for us. It will of course be a “new normal” as we will be returning to our “normal” operations in accordance with the Guidance provided by the Government and WorkSafe BC.
This transition will see our support staff return to our office on May 19. Our lawyers will return to the office over the next 2 weeks with all of them back by June 1.
We will continue to endeavour to provide the level of professional services that you have come to expect from us.
We will also continue to take all necessary steps to ensure the health and safety of our lawyers, staff and their families, while continuing to support the needs of our valued clients.
We will continue to monitor the situation daily, and provide further updates as required.
If you need to contact one of our lawyers or staff, please do so by email and/or phone.
